Through delicious whole food preparations and intelligent yoga design we develop a stronger awareness of our body and mind. What may initially seem a subtle shift in feeling and perception creates profound ripples in one's emotional, physical and psychic states. Thus centered and ignited, we are able to radiate the fullness of our expression outward, affecting positive change in our environment, our community, our family, ourselves.
Come begin this process in the nurturing, supportive, and transformative space of The Garden.

Rejuvenate, Rest, and Nourish yourself on this WEEKEND retreat upstate, just outside of Beacon NY. Awaken your body, mind and spirit through mindful yoga, delicious vegetarian meals, a visit to the DIA Museum, and spending time with a new friends.
We will spend time with Restorative Yoga giving in to our natural winter tendencies for focusing inward, building and reserving our energies for when they are most needed. With a look to the coming SPRING months we will also begin to look to the future, working with "opening" yoga poses that stimulate us towards new awakenings!
We will learn new ways to prepare our root veggies, prepare healing spicy broths and fresh juiced juices that give us needed nutrients and cleanse us, as well as begin to look to our new budding spring vegetables that are soon to come.
All weekend retreats have 4 yoga classes, all meals, a hands on cooking class and nutritional talk, and plenty of time to relax and rest. You can also choose to take a walk, hike, visit a museum or the town of Beacon, take in a massage, or a private yoga class!
We are excited to welcome back Beth Heyde, just back from being the resident yoga teacher at La Catalina in the Dominican Republic.

Sarah’s classes incorporate the teachings of yoga with an understanding of the deepest benefits of the poses, the importance of thoughtful alignment and breath, and a feeling of freedom and calm in the body. The philosophies and tools that yoga provides are both practical & magical, a process which creates routes for the mind and body to the consciousness and to the essence underneath.
Keely Garfield is a native of London, England and received her yoga teacher
certification at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center with Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi, as well as completing her 500hr training with Rodney Yee & Colleen Sideman Yee through the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Program.
Keely has studied yoga, pranayama and meditation in India and with Richard & Mary Beth Freeman, Richard Rosen, Bobbi Clennell, Roshi Joan Halifax and at The New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care with Koshin Paley Ellison & Robert Chodo Campbell.
She holds a BA and an MFA in Choreography. Her path has been shaped by her work as an acclaimed choreographer and dancer (www.keelygarfield.org), and by the blessing of being the mother of two beautiful beings. In addition, Keely is a certified Integrative Therapist having acquired her clinical training at Beth Israel Medical Center.
Her spirited classes are infused with her innate sense of movement and musicality creating a seamless flow that focuses breath by breath on the gift in the present moment. She unites a strong emphasis on alignment and a compassionate touch to travel barefoot with her students along the path of liberation. Om Tat Sat!
Adam teaches the Iyengar Method through his own experience with clear and mindful instruction. Helping his students navigate through the body with the application of the mind at the pace which the breath provides; allowing them to have an experience that is full and profound. He incorporates Yogic Philosophy into his teaching to give his students the opportunity to understand that Yoga is not just a practice that takes place on the surface in class, but an opportunity to develop an internal awareness that can truly transform their life.
